| Our Process |
Our development process for websites or software, consists of six distinct phases: Project DefinitionThe project definition is the most critical step of design. We start with a client survey. The survey can be completed face to face, over the phone, with email, through IM or chat. From the client survey we build a Project Proposal comprised of 4 parts: Project Brief, Project Timeline, Maintenance Plan, and Estimated Costs. If you accept the proposal, we move forward. Site StructureGood design requires a solid architecture based on the projects goals and target audience. During this phase, we can create 3 deliverables: Content Outline, Site Diagram, and Page Diagram. We work closely with you to create a list of all existing content, brainstorm content that needs to be created, then review our list and ensure the content matches the overall goals of the project. Visual DesignThis is the time which our creative team loves. They review the project brief, sitemap, diagrams, and then develop a visual design. The design team will create 3 or 4 drafts as we discuss the design with you, and you make suggestions and changes. DevelopmentNow is the time we actually build your project. The development team reviews the project brief, site structure and visual design to confirm everything is in alignment and support the overall goals and needs. The dev team will create a technical and functional specification, and then turn all of your plans into reality. TestingThe project plan always allocates time for formal testing. Ideally, you should identify an individual or group to serve as your Quality Assurance team. Their priority will be will be to review the project and ensure all the functionality is working properly. LaunchPlan the best day to go live, have the QA team review the project after it is in place live, take a moment or two to CELEBRATE, then begin to implement the maintenance plan. |
